The performers have been announced for the Oct. 24 Aluminum City Telethon (ACT).

This year due to COVID-19 the show will once again be pre-recorded. Two concert bands, Mount Elizabeth Middle Secondary School (MEMSS) and St. Anthony’s Senior Academy Band, will each be playing three songs. There will also be singers featured that include Arthur Renwick and Zoe Gielens.

The event will also see dancers from Haisla Braid Singers & Dancers and Dance Kitimat, plus other performances during the live stream. Due to COVID, there will be no one allowed inside the theatre during the event, phone panels will be live from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. if people are interested in donating.

“It is hoped that next year we will not be in COVID times and will be able to go back to live performances and an audience in the Theatre,” said Jean Nidd who works with the Telethon.

The event will be live-streamed at Kitimat Community Foundation’s website. The number to call on the day of the event is 778-631-2021.
