Workers down tools to commemorate Day of Mourning

Friday, April 28 marked the National Day of Mourning, which is observed across Canada. The day commemorates workers who have been killed, injured or suffered as a result of workplace-related hazards and incidents. In Kitimat, staff from a number of companies and the District of Kitimat joined together to commemorate the day by walking from City Centre Mall to the Workers’ Memorial at the cenotaph.
