Kitimat schools participated in the provincial ShakeOutBC exercise that was carried out in schools, workplaces and homes throughout the province. At MEMSS teacher Aliceyn Fokuli prepared her students for the exercise, answering questions about earthquakes and the correct procedure for when an earthquake strikes.
