A group of brave men squeezed into high heels on Wednesday last week as part of the Hide ‘n Heels event to promote the Moose Hide Campaign.
The campaign asks men to take a stand against violence towards women and children, by wearing high heels and “walking a mile in her shoes.
Organized by the Violence Against Women in Relationships Committee and held at the Haisla Recreation Centre, the event was a collaborative effort by Kitimat agencies and the Haisla Nation.
The men, who were nominated by participants from the 2016 Hide ‘n Heels event, took part in a friendly game of musical chairs wearing the heels.
