Local men’s and women’s soccer teams travelled to Kitwanga to compete in the May long weekend tournament.
Ten women’s and 12 men’s teams travelled from as far as Saskatchewan to take part.
In the women’s division, local teams Kitimat Lightning and People of the Snow team came in 4th and 5th place respectively behind Prince Rupert in first, the Terrace Providers in second and the Kitwanga Wildcats in third.
In the men’s division, the team from Hazelton beat the team from Saskatchewan, with the Haisla Braves placing sixth.
The local teams will play next in a tournament hosted by the Terrace Providers from May 31 to June 2.
