Double win for Winterhawks last weekend

The end result - a stunning 10-2 victory against the Seawolves.

The Winterhawks Midget Reps had another successful weekend, this time scoring a decisive win against the Prince Rupert Seawolves, twice!

On Saturday the teams met on the ice at 4 p.m. with the first goal scored just before the mid-point in the 20 minute period, by Antoine Bergeron.

The next goal was scored about one minute later by Dominic Schmidt, and then with only 12 seconds left on the clock, Antoine Bergeron made another scoring appearance to finish the first period 3 – 0 for the Winterhawks.

In the second period the Reps only scored one goal, put away by Maddox Medeiros.

It was in the third period, however, that the Reps put their foot on the gas - six goals in total, two scored by Lucas Aiken, the rest by David Leite, Antoine Bergeron, Gabriel Fowler-McNab, and Ethan Molloy.

The end result - a stunning 10-2 victory against the Seawolves.

On Sunday the teams met again, a tough game which saw Kitimat score the first goal of the game only in the second period, followed by three more goals in the same period. Gabriel Fowler-McNab scored two of those goals, with Dominic Schmidt and Antoine Bergeron providing the other two.

The rest of the goals, five of them, were scored in the third period, three of them by David Leite, supported with another two from Jake Robinson and Keaton Maag.

The home team registered 8 penalties, with Prince Rupert putting 9 penalties on the board.

The final score was 9-1.
