Police are seeking the driver of a vehicle which knocked out power to much of Kitimat on September 25.

The police are seeking the driver of a vehicle which hit a power pole and knocked out power to much of Kitimat for hours from approximately 3 a.m.

Police are speaking with the registered owner of the vehicle to find out who may have been driving at the time.

The red Ford pick-up sheered a power pole on Haisla Boulevard, about 200 metres north of the rail crossing towards the Rio Tinto Alcan smelter.

The driver had left by the time police arrived.
