Woodrow Carlton (Tom) Green
December 28, 1921 - November 4, 2010
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Tom on November 4,
2010, peacefully with family by his side. Predeceased by his brothers Art, Lloyd, Mike, and Bill, sisters Violet, Delores, Alice, parents Charles Calvin Green and Petra Elvina Green (nee Danielson).
Tom will be lovingly remembered by his wife Dorothy, children Robert, Gale, grandchildren Justin (Danyelle), Brandy, Lisa (Scott), Aaron (Alexandria), great grandchildren Jonas, Isaac, Braydon, Gage, Sydney, Emily, and Lucas, sister Delina Buchmeir, as well as many friends and loved ones that touched Tom’s life.
A very special thank you to his loving niece Karen Lambert, and a special thank you to Brenda Froude, friend.
He was a proud member of Branch 250 Royal Canadian Legion, Past President, the Pacific Northwest Zone Commander, President of Gyro Club of Kitimat BC, and Shriners Clubs, and the South Saskatchewan Regiment.
A Memorial service will be held on November 20, 2010 at 1pm at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Ave., Nanaimo, BC.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to BC Children’s Hospital in memory of Woodrow Carlton (Tom) Green.
