It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that the Pavlakovich family have said farewell to Walter, Shirley's husband of 56 years, who passed away on Christmas Eve.
Shirley, Mark, Kathleen, Andrew and James are left to mourn along with grandchildren Kallen, Jordan and baby Jax.
Shirley and family wish to think all the neighbours and friends who have supported them with calls, flowers, food, and prayers, and in particular Dr. Sabina Kay and Goran, and the Carsten family.
Walter came west in the mid 50s working for Alcan and quickly fell in love with all that Kitimat had to offer. The beauty of the area along with the hunting, fishing, and camping suited him. He managed to secure a lovely nurse and went on to build a house, family and a garden that he loved (his produce was legendary).
We will all meet again sometime in a place that hopefully has a Kitimat flavour.
