In Loving Memory of

Vale Georgina Maskulak

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife and mother in her 77th year, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Vale is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Victor, daughter Vanessa, brother Gordon, special cousin Gail and extended family.

Vale was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario and after she completed Teacher’s College, she travelled west seeking adventure and teaching young children. She met Victor and they first settled in Terrace before moving to Kitimat. While in Kitimat, Vale dedicated herself to teaching preschoolers at the Child Development Centre for many years where she touched the lives of many people.

Her loving and gentle manner built many friendships throughout her life. Regular lunches with the ladies was a favourite pastime, as were enjoying a cup of tea and a good book. Vale’s love of animals was well known and many benefitted from her loving care.

Vale exemplified grace and kindness in all that she did and she was a loving wife, mother, sister and friend. She will be forever in our hearts.

The family extends sincere appreciation to Dr. Fourie and his team, Dr. Kay, Dr, Scully, and the nurses who provided such wonderful care.

As well, deep gratitude to the special friends and neighbours who provided countless acts of care and support.

Burial has taken place in Toronto. A celebration of life will take place in the Spring.
