In Loving Memory of Teresa Maria Rego
Teresa died unexpectedly and suddenly in the Kitimat General Hospital on October 9, 2011.
She was born in Azores, Portugal on February 21, 1964 and immigrated to Terrace, BC in 1971. Teresa moved to Kitimat in 1996 with her husband Gualter and two children. She worked at Scotiabank for 28 years.
Teresa was passionate about her family and friends. She was truly selfless and could light up a room with her beautiful smile. She was kind-hearted and would always go out of her way to help a friend in need. Teresa was a chef at heart; she loved to cook for people. Teresa enjoyed the simpler things in life; going for walks and being out in nature. Teresa left behind her husband, children, granddaughter, loving family members and friends. She will be forever in our hearts.
Teresa’s family would like to thank everyone in the community for their sympathy, kind words, compassion, prayers and support. We would like to extend a special thank you to the first responders, doctors, nurses, paramedics, firefighters and police.
All donations made to the family have been donated
to the BC Children’s Hospital in memory of Teresa.
