A funeral mass will be held December 13, 2021 at Christ the King Catholic Church for Tadeusz Klimczak who passed away in hospital on December 2, 2021.
Ted as his local friends called him, was the fifth child of eight, born to Wojciech and Bronislawa Klimczak in Wola Kleszczowa Poland on May 2, 1936.
Tadeusz's siblings are Kazimierz Klimczak (deceased), Leokadia Bednarek (deceased), Maria Idzikowska (deceased), Stanislawa Rakoska (deceased), Janina Klimczak-Bujko, Jadwiga Klimczak and Wieslaw Klimczak (deceased).
Tadeusz joined the Polish military at an early age as a pilot and his formal schooling prepared him to be an engineer. Tadeusz came to Canada in 1973 on invitation from another Polish family. He met Olga Staszkiel and they were soon married, and their daughter Rosemary was born.
Tadeusz's work ethic led him out west where he settled and built a life in the Kitimat area and he began working at the Eurocan Pulp and Paper Mill in 1976 and retired in 2001.
Tadeusz was an enthusiastic traveller who traveled home to Poland regularly and he also enjoyed visiting places around the world like Peru and Australia, where he made meaningful friendships that he holds to this day.
Tadeusz was a strong character who greatly valued his independence. He will be missed by his daughter Rosemary Scofich (Stephen), his grandchildren Kathryn and Eric Scofich, as well as by his family and friends in Canada and Poland.

As well, thank you to his sister Jadwiga for looking after details in Poland and to Tadeusz's niece Elzbieta Pisanko and her husband Jurek for the care provided and recent time spent with him.
