Marilyn was born in Vancouver, B.C., she moved to Kitimat in 1962 with her first husband. She later met Dale and married in the 1980s. They loved the outdoors and travelling, they could often be gone days at a time down the Douglas Channel fishing. They eventually traveled to Texas for the winters where they met many friends and enjoyed the warm temperatures. They spent the rest of their time at their place in the Cablecar enjoying life. Mom worked at many places in Kitimat such as BC Tel, The Bay, Eatons, and shipping and receiving at Kitimat General Hospital for many years.
Marilyn moved to Keremeos, B.C., in the early 2000s to be close to her siblings. Once they passed Marilyn decided to move into independent living in Osoyoos, B.C., where she lived out the rest of her life. Marilyn would often say she was a loner, although she loved to socialize. She quite often could be seen with an infectious smile followed by her cackle of laughter.
