Son of Thor Thorgrimsson and Pamela Thomas, Stefan was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba on December 9,1947 and left us on August 8, 2023 due to kidney failure.
The family moved to Stittsville, Ont. in 1958 where Stefan went to school. In 1971 he came to Vancouver, B.C. where he worked for Anthony Jewellers for 1 year, then at Caddilac Plastics for 2 years.
On January 19,1973 he met his wife Penny-leigh (Wilson) hitch hiking in Vancouver and 7 months later married her.
Stefan moved his young family on January 13,1979 to Kitimat where he worked at Alcan. In 1980 he started a machinist apprenticeship and on May 11,1983 he received his journeyman papers. In May 1987 at the age of 39 he was diagnosed with M.S.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Penny-leigh, son Erik and daughter Karmen his grandchildren Olivia (17), Benjamin (14).
He is also survived by his sister Janet (Steve) Holperin and brother Jon (Marie-France).
