Richard Roy Wintemute
March 7, 1947 to October 3, 2016
It is with profound sadness Ric’s family announces his passing, after a lengthy illness, at the Mills Memorial Hospital in Terrace. His family was at his side.
Ric is surviced by his wife (Arlene), daughter Jacquie (Ian Phelps), grandchildren (Devrie and Hayden) and several cousins, nieces and nephews in Ontario. He is predeceased by his mother (Evelyn).
He was born in Toronto and moved with his family to Kitimat in 1979 for employment at Alcan. From there he retired in 2008 and spent time gardening, golfing and gadding about with his precious grand-daughter Devrie.
Ric was a longtime member of the Masonic Lodge and Gizeh Shriners.
It is importnat to express appreciation to Dr. H.J.P Mills and his kind and caring office staff. Also thanks to those providing food gifts and flowers, cards, words of comfort and prayers.
Cremation has taken place and at his request no service will be held. Anyone wishing to make a charitable donation in Ric’s memory is encouraged to do so to the Kitimat Humane Society, 1000 Eurocan Way.
