Mary "Patricia" Lovegren of Kitimat, B.C., passed away peacefully on February 13, 2018 after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Pat was born in Banff, Alberta on November 5, 1936, the oldest of 12 siblings.
She was predeceased by her husband, Donald Lovegren and daughters Donna and Mary. She is survived by her son, Douglas (Marlene) Henderson and daughters, Diann (Richard) Morneau and Elizabeth Lovegren. She will be missed by grandchildren Christina (Chris), Bryan, Katie (Glenn), Michael, Jason, Jennifer, Josh, Janelle, Cyle, Sara and great grandchildren Taylor, Rachel, Maggie, Hannah, and Aiden.
Pat and Don moved to Kitimat in 1964. Pat worked at Super Value and also owned a ceramic store. She served with the Kitimat Legion in various positions, the Library board and volunteered with the hospital auxiliary, the Salvation Army thrift store, the Seniors Centre and more.
She loved her dogs, gardening, reading, playing crib, and most of all quilting and sewing. She was also a member of the Kitimat Quilters Guild. Many family members and friends have a beautiful quilt in their homes made by Pat.
The family would like to thank Dr. Huang and the nurses at the Kitimat Hospital palliative care unit for the wonderful care they gave Pat in her last few months.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Kitimat Legion on Saturday, March 10 from 1 pm - 3 pm. Please come and have a cup of tea in memory of Pat.
