November 27, 1929 - June 23, 2024
In loving memory ~
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Marion Green Amado on June 23, 2024 at Kitimat General Hospital.
Marion was born on November 27, 1929 in Gorton, Manchester, England during the Great Depression as an only child. She married her first love James Green in 1950 and they made their way to Canada in 1954. Sadly Jim passed away in 1980 while Marion was working as a housekeeper at the old Kitimat General Hospital. When she retired, she volunteered her time at the Hospital Auxiliary and was an active member at the Senior's Centre.
Marion remained a widow for 15 years before marrying her second love Fernando Amado in 1995, Marion loved playing games that kept her mind sharp: her favourite being scrabble, she also looked forward to bingo nights at Delta King. Her pastimes were: knitting, writing short stories, poems and completing her memoirs. She was passionate about family and friends and was a true inspiration touching the hearts of so many.
Her legacy lives on through:
Children: Wayne, Debbie (Terry), Melanie (Robin), Darrell and Brent (Sherri)
Grandchildren: Janelle (Tracey), Corey (Tira), Devrie (Bobby), Brandon, Lesley (Jenna), James, Aiden, and Nathan
Great-Grandchildren: Ethan, Raea, Liam, Macy,
Elsie, Damon and Dayvee
Predeceased by her first husband James Green in 1980 and her second husband Fernando Amado in 2020.
Our deepest gratitude to Dr. Huang, Save on Foods Pharmacy team, the staff at the Kitimat General Hospital, Delta King, Home Support and Multi level staff and all of the those who have touched Marion's life.
Your life's a blessing and your memory is a treasure.
You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
