Maria Olinda Ribeiro
June 28, 1957 to November 8, 2016
Olinda was born June 28, 1957 in Figueira Da Foz, Portugal. She married her beloved husband Joao on October 24, 1976 and then immigrated to Kitimat, BC. This is where they called home and raised their family. Olinda was a proud stay at home mother who had a passion for cooking, crocheting and gardening. Olinda devoted her life to her family and was excited to become a Vavo to Dax and Rui. She enjoyed life and will always be remembered for her positive attitude and constant smile. Olinda leaves behind her husband Joao, son Allan (Caitlin), mother Maria, sisters Ermelinda and Umblina (Victor) and grandsons Dax and Rui. Olinda joins her beloved father Argilio Azenha along with other extended family and friends. Many thanks to the doctors and nursing staff at Vancouver General Hospital for their endless support and compassion as well as; all our friends and family who provided support and love during this difficult time. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the kidney foundation in memory of Olinda Ribeiro.
