In Loving Memory of Maria Ana Cabral De Melo
January 27, 1940 - March 25, 2008
On March 25, 2008, our Mom, Maria Ana De Melo passed away peacefully, surrounded
by her loving children.
Born in Vila Franca do Campo, Sao Miguel, Azores on
January 27, 1940; Maria was predeceased by her beloved husband Abilio in 2004, her parents, brother and many friends.
Those left to treasure her memories are her children; Mario (Joanne), Paula (Brian), Alfredo (Kathy), Angelo (Cheri), Anna (Daniel); her grandchildren; Lauren, Ashlyn, Joel, Marcus, Isaac, Keaton, Kelson, Gabriel, Evan and Madelyn; her sisters, brother and other family and friends who adored her. Words cannot express what our Mom was to us; she was our inspiration.
Our sincere gratitude to Dr. Van Wyk, Dr. West, Dr. Cooper, Dr. Gelmon and all the dedicated nurses at Kitimat General Hospital and the Vancouver Cancer Agency who treated her with great dignity and respect. A special thank you to Lucille, Maude, and Gloria who made us all feel a part of Mom’s journey. Each of you gave Mom and each of us a sense of security.
Our families would like to express our many thanks and appreciation to all who helped us through this time with thoughts, prayers, kindness, support and good deeds in our time of great loss and sorrow.
