Lou passed peacefully from this life after a courageous battle against cancer. He is sadly missed by family and friends. Born in St. Paul, Alberta, he lived in Kitimat since 1989, and worked as a journeyman sprinkler fitter, which brought him to work at Eurocan.
Lou is survived by his wife Gail of 42 years, son Justin (Brandi), Brent, Bradley (Michaela), daughter Chantelle (Ryan), two grand-daughters Danica and Sophia; brothers Larry (Pat), Bernie (Bonnie), sister Nicole (Bob) and many nephews and nieces. Lou is predeceased by parents Lillian and Pierre Malo, sister Louise, brothers Denis and Roger.
Louis was an avid hockey coach, fisherman and cyclist.
