February 27, 1934 - August 14, 2020
Loved but not forgotten. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving wife, mother, mother-in-law, Vavo, sister and good friend. Liliana passed away courageously fighting to survive after a major stroke.
She was predeceased by her mother Lourdes, father Antonio, grandson Austin, and siblings Pedro, Antonio, Manuel, Jose Daniel, and Irene.
She is survived by the love of her life, her husband Francisco, her three daughters, Liliana (Jorge), Eduarda (Victor), Lurdes (Mario), her loving grandchildren, Presley, Mariah, Logan, Katrina, Kyle, Kayla, her siblings, Eduarda (Joao), Lurdes, Joao de Brito (Helena), Gil (Rita), Fatima, sisters-in-law, brother-in-law, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
She was born in Vila Franca do Campo, Acores. She came to Canada in March after marrying Francisco on September 1, 1957. She was very happy being a homemaker in Kitimat.
Liliana had many passions from crocheting to taking care of her plants but nothing compared to the best job ever - babysitting her grandchildren. Her eyes always glimmered with happiness when they came to visit or just called to say hello. She loved her hugs and kisses.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the family and friends, near and far, who have opened their hearts and given us their support.
We would like to thank Dr. Kay, Dr. Van Schalkwyk (Skully), and all the staff at Kitimat General Hospital for their endless compassion and care for our Mom. Thank you to MacKay's Funeral Services and Christ the King Parish for their assistance at this difficult time.
Funeral service was held at Christ the King Church on August 21, 2020.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
We will miss you dearly but you will never be forgotten as you hold a piece of our heart.
