Laurinda Ponte De Melo
October 10, 1931 - July 19, 2011
Laurinda passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 19, 2011 with her family by her side at Kitimat General Hospital.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to Dr. Skully, Dr. Kay, Staff, Nurses, and the Lab for all of their loving, exceptional care.
Special thanks to Fr. Kenneth Uwaoma for the funeral service and the Bereavement Ministry for all of their work.
Many thanks to family and friends for all their support and kindness throughout this difficult time. Your generousity will never be forgotten.
Life is but a stopping place, a pause in what’s to be,
A resting place along the road, to sweet eternity.
We all have different journeys,
different paths along the way,
We all were meant to learn some things,
but never meant to stay...
Our destination is a place, far greater than we know.
For some the journey’s quicker, for some the journey’s slow.
And when the journey finally ends,
we’ll claim a great reward,
And find an everlasting peace,
Together with the Lord.
Laurinda will be sadly missed
by her loving family and friends.
