It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Richard Havery of Kitimat BC at Kitimat Regional Hospital. John was a long time resident of Kitimat and loved living in the beautiful North Coast and all the recreational activities it offers. John was an avid fisherman and hunter and shared his love of the outdoors with his children and grandchildren.
John's last days were surrounded by his loving family. John is survived by his loving wife, Joanne, his four children Kurt Havery, Jodie Wild (Paul), Lisa DeSousa (Orland) and Mathew Havery (Melissa). John's grand children were the light of his life. He loved them all; Mathew DeSousa, Dakota Stromdahl, Ryien Lee, Stephen Cook, Rayven Algor, Skye Havery, Aaron Cook, Shae-Lyn Groot, Vaughan Havery, Nina Garcia and Via Garcia, and their partners and spouses. John reserved his brightest light for his great grandchildren Mya, Brooklyn, Millie, Macy and Myles. John had numerous nieces and nephews. He fiercely loved all his family.
A celebration of life will be held at the Kitimat Rod and Gun Association on Saturday July 31st beginning at 2:00pm. the celebration will outdoors and all current PHA restrictions will be followed. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Kitimat General Hospital Foundation in John's name.
