He was a Construction Worker in Kitimat, building the Hospital and Post Office. He started working at Alcan in 1965 and retired in 1995.
He was well loved for his sense of humour and strong caring heart. He always enjoyed a glass of wine with his friends and family. He was curious about the history of Terrace, Kitimat and all other frontier places in B.C. He was and avid reader and loved spending his retirement years in Terrace working at Misty River Books for 10 years.
Throughout his years in the Northwest he volunteered on the Kitimat Library Board and the Museum Board he also spent many years volunteering for the Crisis line in Kitimat. He was an accomplished piano player.
Craig began sketching, painting and working on art projects with his mother when he was just a kid. As an Alcan Worker he was on the Alcan Ingot Magazine submitting cartoons that related to the employees and staff of Alcan.
His last few years at Alcan were spent on Computers after he graduated from the University of Victoria with a degree in Computer Science so had a special interest in all things to do with computers. On Facebook, Craig was known as a punster and enjoyed his many friends on Facebook, from all over the world.
For the last 20 years he has been painting seriously and had a routine of painting every weekday afternoon. Art being one of his diverse interests. Tentatively there will be a" Memorial Art Show" for the Communities of Kitimat and Terrace to come and remember him and appreciate Craig's artwork at the Terrace Art Gallery in the Spring of 2021.In many ways he was a Gentleman Adventurer, always happy to travel and learn more about his interests.
