March 15, 1930 - November 15, 2018
Horst Werner Klepsch passed away in Kitimat General Hospital, Kitimat, B.C., on Thursday, November 15th, 2018, at the age of 88 years. Horst was born on March 15th, 1930, in Mareinwerder, West Prussia.

He immigrated to Canada in 1953 meeting his wife of 62 years, Edith, on the ship coming to Canada. They were married in 1954. Horst worked in Vancouver and then moved to Ocean Fall, B.C. where he worked for Crown Zellerbach. They raised their three children in Ocean Falls for 17 years before moving to Kitimat in 1971. Horst worked at Eurocan Pulp and Paper Mill until he retired in 1990.

He and Edith travelled extensively spending many happy trips in their motorhome. He was well known for his decorated home during the Christmas season. Summer time found Horst golfing, walking and taking pride in having the greenest grass on the street.

Horst is survived by his brother, Reiner, in Germany, his three children Marion (Karen) of Kitimat, B.C., Monika (Dennis) of Granisle, B.C., and Dave (Nancy) of Logan Lake, B.C. ; 3 grandchildren Tyler Merkley (Jodi), Melanie Muir (Mike) and Devin Klepsch and 3 great-grandchildren Parker Muir and Tyler and Trevor Flegel. The family thanks Delta King, Home Support Staff, Doctors and KGH Nurses for the wonderful care given to dad.
