Gudrun Irene Larsen
April 30, 1933 - October 12, 2015
Gudrun was born during a thunderstorm in Naestved, Denmark and during another windy rainstorm, she left peacefully with her family at her side in Terrace, BC.
A resident of Kitimat since 1960, she was known as Irene at the Kitimat General Hospital where she was a much-loved nurse for over 20 years.
Greatly missed, she is survived by Hans, her loving husband of 64 years, daughter Susan (Dave), son Finn (Anna), daughter-in-law Carol, six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, as well as extended family in Denmark and Canada.
Gudrun is reunited with her beloved son, Leif.
A service was held on October 19, 2015.
In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made in her name to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
