Gertrude Herunter (Gertie)
Nov 22, 1939 – August 7, 2017
Gertie passed away peacefully after a battle with Alzheimer’s Disease.
Gertie was predeceased by her husband Karl in 2013.
She will be lovingly remembered by her son Steve and daughter in-law Michelle; and by her niece Renee.
Gertie was born in Vienna, Austria and immigrated to Canada with her parents. She met Karl in Kitimat and they were married in May 1959. Gertie was a Royal Bank employee for 25 years.
There will be no service by request.
Steve and Michelle would like to thank the staff
at Mountain View Lodge for the wonderful care
they gave Gertie in her final years.
