December 26, 1942 - February 8, 2019
Fred was born on December 26, 1942 in Otter Creek, Alberta. His Family eventually moved to Athabasca, where he spent the majority of his childhood.
Fred joined the Canadian Navy in 1961 at the age of 19. Shortly after completing his tour in 1964, he moved to Kitimat, BC. In 1966, he started his career at Alcan Smelters and also me the love of his life, Lillian.
They created a beautiful life together, raising three children and enjoying many hobbies such as hockey, golf, curling and running. He also enjoyed his weekly coffee visits with his close friend, Lloyd.
He settled into retirement after working 35 years at Alcan, later moving to Kamloops, BC in 2008.
His greatest joys in life were his children and grandchildren. He will always be remembered for his hard work ethic, his profound conversations about life, his courage and grace, and his loving commitment to his family.
He will be greatly missed and forever loved by his wife Lillian, son Dax (Jody), daughters Carla (Bill), Zolynne (Craig) and grandchildren, Josh, Amy, Ben, Lily, Levi and Sophie.
