October 23, 1931 - June 19, 2021
Loved but not forgotten. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a loving husband, father, father-in-law, vovo, brother and good friend. Francisco passed away taking a piece of our hearts with him. He was predeceased by his wife Liliana, his mother Rosie, father Angelo, grandson Austin, and siblings John, Angelo and Maria. He is survived by his three daughters, Liliana (Jorge), Eduarda (Victor), Lurdes (Mario), his loving grandchildren, Presley, Mariah, Logan, Katrina, Kayla, Kyle, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
He was born in Vila Franca do Campo, Acores. He came to Canada in March 1954 working his way to Kitimat were he started working for Alcan in April 1955. He retired from a job he loved in 1996 after 41 years of service.
Francisco had many passions from gardening to carpentry to various handyman repairs but nothing compared to the best job ever - helping his wife babysitting his grandchildren. His eyes sparkled with love when they came to visit or called to say hello.
The family would like to express their appreciation to all the family and friends, near and far, who have opened their hearts and given us their support. We would like to thank Dr. Van Schalkwyk (Skully), Dr. Kay, and all the staff at Kitimat General Hospital and Mountainview Lodge for their endless compassion and care for our Father.
Thank you to MacKay's Funeral Services and Christ the King Parish for their assistance at this difficult time.
Funeral services were held at Christ the King Parish on June 28.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
We will miss you dearly but you will never be forgotten as you hold a piece of our heart.
