We share the news of the passing of Elaine Louise Drinkwater (nee Laurie).
Elaine was born in Kamloops, BC and raised near the headwaters of the Fraser River, Lucerne, BC, where she loved to ride her horse, Ricky. She endured 29 Kitimat winters and then was able to enjoy her retirement years in the sunny Okanagan.
Elaine Louise Drinkwater (Laurie), partner and spouse of 52 years to Bill Drinkwater, passed courageously and peacefully near midnight on February 14, 2024, with a stunning crescent moon lighting her way.
Elaine was a mother of Tevel (Marcy) and Alisha Drinkwater, grandmother to Netanya, Cameron, Delilah, Reika and Ezekiel whom she loved ferociously. Elaine had a special relationship with daughter-in-law Nicola Drinkwater (Mellor) who passed in 1999.
She will be missed by many. May we find peace and love during this time of grieving.
A 'Celebration of Life' will be held at Schubert Centre, 3505 30th Ave. Vernon BC on Tuesday, April 2nd, 2024 at 1 pm.
