In Loving Memory ~
Edmundo Barbosa, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and millwright, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and wisdom. Born in São Miguel, Azores, Edmundo immigrated as a young boy with his family to the town of Kitimat, where he would eventually build a life rich in community, hard work, and devotion to his loved ones.
A dedicated employee of Rio Tinto for many years, Edmundo was known not only for his skill but also for the lasting friendships he forged within the community. His commitment to his work was only surpassed by his unwavering dedication to his family, whom he cherished above all.
Edmundo is survived by his devoted wife, Fatima Barbosa; his beloved children, Kimberly (Mark) and Jason (Anita) Barbosa; and his precious grandchildren, Brooklyn, Taylor, Jacob, and Kenzie. To his family, he was a pillar of strength and wisdom, always there to offer guidance and support.
Edmundo will be dearly missed by all who knew him. His legacy will live on through the lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and enduring love.
May he rest in peace.
