It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of David James Thickett. David (Dave) passed away suddenly on the evening of April 22, 2024.
Dave was born on December 26, 1937, in Trail, BC. He moved to Victoria at a young age, where he met his wife, Marlene.
Dave and Marlene lived in small logging communities on Vancouver Island until 1970 when the family moved to Kitimat, BC where Dave took on the position of Manager for Saunders Hauling Ltd.
Dave is preceded in death by his wife Marlene, parents Walter Thickett and May Thickett.
Dave is survived by his daughters Sandy (Don) McAndrew of Terrace, Tracy (Allan) McMurdo of Courteney, grandchildren Megan (Wyatt), Christine, Justine (Ryan), Jamie (Cam) and Robert (Laura), great-grandsons Jasper and Ollie, brothers Lorne and Brian and sisters Faye and Joyce and many nieces and nephews.
