David Rankine Harvey
April 14, 1921 to September 28, 2013
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of David Rankine Harvey at Mountainview Lodge, with his family by his side.
David was predeceased by his wife Fidelis, in July, 2012, and leaves to mourn his daughters Fidelis (Tom) and Pat (Ron), grandchildren Kariann, Thomas, Lorna, David, Steven and Catherine, and great grandchildren Brittany, Ethan, Cameron, Owen, Alec, Isla and Isobel.
David came to Kitimat in 1974 and worked at Eurocan until his retirement in 1986. He and his wife then moved to Winfield, but returned to Kitimat in 1997 to be closer to family.
We would like to thank Drs. West, Wahl and Huang for their care, also thanks to the wonderful nurses, aides and volunteers at Mountainview Lodge for their exceptional kindness and care, and friends who have supported us at this time.
To honour David, a tea in celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, October 19 at 1:00pm at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 250. He will be laid to rest in Scotland at a later date.
