Bernard (Buck) McIsaac
February 2, 1934 – July 21, 2017
Surrounded and supported by his family,
Buck McIsaac passed peacefully on
Friday, July 21, 2017.
He was pre-deceased by his sons, Dan and Gordie and his great granddaughter Savanna.
Buck was born in Port Hawkesbury, NS and later raised on a farm in Edmonton, AB by his aunt and uncle. He started work at Alcan in 1956 before bringing his wife Bess, and daughter Jean to join him in 1957. They then added four sons to their family, Dan, Ken, Gordie, and Doug.
Buck was blessed with 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren whom he adored. He was able to tolerate all this family by his constant refusal to get a hearing aid.
Buck was well known for his wonderful sense of humour, his entertaining hunting and fishing stories and the love and support he showed his family.
An outdoor service was held in Kitimat for family on July 27.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all who supported us during this difficult time.
A big thank you to Dr. West, the wonderful nurses, Home Support and Mackay’s Funeral Service.
