Austin Patrick 'Oz' Byrne

We, the family of Austin (Oz) Patrick Byrne, born October 17, 1952, in Princeton B.C., are sad to announce his sudden passing in Osoyoos B.C. on July 13, 2023.
He will be forever remembered by his wife, Pat, children Nicole (Dan) and Brady, grandson Brett (Nicole), great grandson Ayden, brother Jim (Debbie), sister, Sheila (Art); as well as aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
If you knew Oz, you would have appreciated his wit, sense of humour, and love of practical jokes. Because of his community spirit, Austin leaves behind a multicultural park in Kitimat, B.C., two brand new built Credit Unions, as well as many committees he worked on for youth, business, and the betterment of the communities he lived in.
After his retirement from the Credit Union and Business Development work in Kitimat, Oz and Pat moved to Osoyoos where he picked up a new career working as a maintenance man at an assisted living facility in Oliver, B.C.
This is where he was able to finally show off his many talents for fixing and building things; as well as continue to share his innate ability to make those around him feel special, respected, and loved.
Austin (Oz)'s family is hosting a memorial service at the Princeton Seniors Hall in Princeton, B.C. on Saturday, November 4th, 2023 at 1:00 p.m.
