After a long, courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of

Agatha (Aggie) Eltje Breuker

May 31, 1930 - April 5, 2008

in her home with her loving husband and children by her side

Survived by husband Karl; son Ron (Margaret); daughter Shirley (Jim); grandchildren Jeremy, Mathew (Naoise), Michelle, Carly (Scott), Melissa (Matthew) and David.

Aggie will be best remembered for her unending devotion to her family and home, her sunny disposition and sense of humour.

Special thanks to the home care nurses Barb, Brenda, Elaine, and Gloria, the home support girls Aurea, Delia, Grace, Linda and Nancy, who over the past year enriched her life with their love, friendship and exceptional care. She loved you all and we will be forever grateful to each and every one of you.

To Margaret...words cannot begin to express our gratitude. You came into our lives at a critical time and provided the strength and resources to carry us through one of the most difficult times in our lives.

“You can shed tears that she is gone,

or you can smile because she has lived.

You can close your eyes and pray that she’ll come back,

or you can open your eyes and see all she’s left.

Your heart can be empty because you can’t see her,

or you can be full of the love you shared.

You can turn your back on tomorrow and live yesterday,

or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday.

You can remember her only that she is gone,

or you can cherish her memory and let it live on.

You can cry and close your mind,

be empty and turn your back.

Or you can do what she’d want:

smile, open your eyes, love and go on.”
