The Thomas family is saddened to announce the passing of Adrian Francis (Frank) Thomas. Frank passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 9, 2018.
A loving husband, father and papa, Frank is survived by his wife of 45 years Barbara; his sons Chad (Melissa) and Shaun (Lisa); and grandchildren Michaela, Cannon, Stryker and Isobel; as well as many more extended family.
Frank and the family moved from Kemano to Kitimat in 1987 to continue his career at Alcan and quickly became involved in his new hometown. He volunteered as a leader with Scouts Canada, as the president of the Kitimat Band Parents Association and as a coach with Kitimat Minor Softball while spending time playing at the Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club. Following his retirement, Frank dedicated more time to pursuing golf, pool, poker and darts, but his true joy in life was spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren.
Frank was always ready with a joke and a smile and loved bringing laughter and joy to others around him. He was deeply loved and will be truly missed.
A special thank you goes out to all the medical staff that helped Frank along his journey. Your kindness and compassion is truly appreciated.
The family invites friends and loved ones to attend a Celebration of Life at the Hirsch Creek Golf and Winter Club on Sunday, June 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. to share stories and memories of an incredibly special man.
