Save-On-Food’s Matt Sidor and Kristian Warner arrived at the Kitimat Humane Society bearing gifts - cat food and other goodies valued at nearly $300. “We donated food that was part of our Planogram that was no longer available for purchase in the store. Rather than reducing the cost to sell through, we decided that it could be better used by the Humane Society,” said Matt. “We do our best to donate to them every couple of months.”

Caledonia Senior Secondary School in Terrace visited Rio Tinto’s plant on April 19. The class, which is studying earth sciences, had a presentation on the types of raw materials used in the aluminium making process, how aluminium is made and what the final products are. Rio Tinto’s HSE Advisor Alyssa Dalton provided a safety induction for the class and then Laure Kline, Business Improvement partner for Rio Tinto, took the class on a site tour.
