BC Transit will look at operating modified routes within the City today (Jan. 11) even as most routes outside the city limit remain cancelled due to hazardous icy road conditions.
Buses will be avoiding all streets that have not been plowed or sanded, said BC Transit in an update this morning.
Routes outside the city, including Thornhill, Kitsumkalum, Queensway/Gitaus, remain cancelled.
Morning trips for Skeena Regional Transit system which include the Terrace/Kitimat Connector as well as the Kitamaat Village route have also been cancelled due to unsafe road conditions.
BC Transit will continue to monitor road conditions to determine when it is safe to resume service, they said.
