Two youth were arrested following a late night break and enter.

On Jan. 29, shortly after midnight, a police officer with the Kitimat RCMP was conducting patrols in the lower city centre area when they located two youth running away.

The front door to Big Jim’s Spirits Store had been smashed open and additional officers were called in. Both the youth were located and arrested nearby and taken to RCMP cells.

“Thanks to the outstanding teamwork by our officers, the suspects were located and identified quickly,” said Cst. Woodcock.

“We are very pleased this was resolved without further incident.”

The youth will appear in court at a later date, the investigation is still ongoing.
