Two men were arrested after a search warrant yields large quantities of drugs and cash.
On June 23, Kitimat RCMP executed a public safety warrant on a residence after two males involved in a robbery were identified.
During the search, a number of drugs and other drug paraphernalia were observed in plain view and another search warrant was obtained. Approximately 1.2 ounces of suspected methamphetamines, assorted pills and other drugs along with cash were seized in relation to drug trafficking.
One man was arrested during the warrant execution and the other was located and arrested later on.
“Thankfully no one was hurt in what could have been a very serious situation,” said Sgt. Eric Black.
RCMP say they are happy to have removed drugs from Kitimat’s streets.
The involved parties were known to each other and police. RCMP are continuing to investigate.
