West Pacific Regional Traffic Services joined members of the Kitimat RCMP detachment to catch aggressive drivers near the Rio Tinto Alcan aluminum smelter on May 25.

The RCMP were responding to numerous complaints of aggressive driving from the public and employees of the smelter, particularly during shift change.

The operation took two hours and police wrote 25 tickets, mainly for speeding.

Police encourage drivers to slow down and allow extra time to get to their destination.
