Alannah Murphy Sivyer, owner of Koi Yoga Studio, has received provisional approval from council for a Temporary Commercial Use Permit (TECUP).

Sivyer had been unable to find an appropriate space for her yoga studio, so she has had to move the business into her basement.

According to the application, the basement has a separate entrance and bathroom and no changes will be required to the property.

Classes are expected to run four days per week, with each class running for 90 minutes. There is no indication how many classes per day are expected.

With council’s approval, the application will now be passed on to the Advisory Planning Committee which will run the public consultation process.
