Sick eagle rescued from Kitimat landfill

A sick eagle was picked up from the Kitimat Landfill and was to be transported to Prince Rupert.

Joseph Pauloski found this sick eagle at the landfill on Nov. 14 and wrapped it up in his jacket. The eagle didn’t even put up a fight.

The Kitimat Humane Society picked up the eagle and were going to try to take it to Prince Rupert’s own animal shelter.

The Sentinel didn’t immediately hear back from the Humane Society to know how the eagle’s trip went, but we expect to know more early next week about how the eagle is doing.
