River backs down from weekend high

The Kitimat River has steadily dropped from its high water level on Oct. 1.

After hovering around three metres on Oct. 1, the Kitimat River has steadily dropped, now just hitting the one metre mark according to data from Environment Canada's Wateroffice.

The gravel bars and marooned tree stumps are again visible after being submerged during the river's peak.
