RCMP investigating a suspicious fire in Kitamaat Village

Kitimat RCMP and the Haisla Fire Department are investigating a residential structure fire that has been deemed suspicious.

The report was made on Nov. 6 that a fire started at a house in Kitimaat Village.

Residents exited the home safely, and RCMP say the fire started outside the residence.

“We are still treating the fire as suspicious and are continuing to investigate and conduct Follow-up,” said S/Sgt. Graham Morgan in an email.

Kitimat RCMP are asking anyone that may have any additional information to contact Kitimat RCMP at 250-632-7111.
