Terrace RCMP, along with specialized officers trained in collision analysis and reconstruction, are investigating the circumstances that led to a pickup truck colliding with a pedestrian late in the afternoon of Nov. 18 at the intersection of Kalum St. and Lakelse Ave. in the downtown core.
“Lifesaving attempts were made on scene by witnesses and emergency crews,” stated a police report.
“Sadly, the man who was struck was pronounced deceased later that evening at Mills Memorial Hospital after he succumbed to the injuries sustained in the collision.”
Police say alcohol is not suspected to be a factor.
