Northwest residents head to Kitimat to compete in Rail Jam

Rail Jam 2022 in Kitimat saw a large turnout to view the skiing and snowboarding competition.

The event included competitors from age groups ranging from under 10 to over 18 years of age. The entire event took place in the lower city centre parking lot.

The event featured music and food vendors. Kitimat’s Ellasaundra James took home first place in the 10 and under boarder category. For the male skiers 11 to 13 years category Kitimat’s Damon Chimko took home second place. In the 18+ category Connor Hawkins from Kitimat took home 3rd place.
