LNG Canada’s new inlet facilities module arrived in Kitimat yesterday afternoon (March 10).
It is more than 10 storeys high and arrived at the LNG Canada Project Site. The module will serve as the entry point for natural gas delivered to the site via Coastal GasLink’s (CGL) pipeline.
“Taking delivery of our inlet facilities module represents another key milestone for our project, which is now approaching 60 percent completion,” LNG Canada CEO Peter Zebedee said.
The module will evenly distribute natural gas at a constant flow to treatment facilities and processes, including liquefaction and storage before it is then loaded into carriers for marine transport, according to LNG Canada.
The module will first be moved from LNG Canada’s material offloading facility at the Port of Kitimat to its place at the main LNG processing site.
It will join several other large pieces of infrastructure installed in recent months.
