The National Energy Board has announced it will reconvene its hearing into the KM LNG natural gas export application on July 13.

However it will be in Calgary, not Kitimat.

Phase two of the hearing will deal with the remaining issues: “consideration of the potential environmental effects of the proposed exportation and any social effects that would be directly related to those environmental effects, including any such effects to aboriginal interests”, and “consultation with the public and aboriginal peoples.”

It will also hear final oral arguments on all issues raised during both hearing sessions.
